MND: How You Become Wealthy

Fmf_millionaire3_1Here's another post in our series on the learnings from the book the Millionaire Next Door:

How do you become wealthy? Here, too, most people have it wrong. It is seldom luck or inheritance or advanced degrees or even intelligence that enables people to amass fortunes. Wealth is more often the result of a lifestyle of hard work, perseverance, planning, and, most of all, self-discipline. (pages 1-2)

There are no (reliable) short cuts. (Sure, you can win the lottery, but what's the chance of that happening?) Financial success is made up of small, consistent progress over a long period of time. And this is good news -- since it says that all of us can grow our net worths -- it's not limited to just a few, privileged people.
