Buy Used Instead of New
“When we were in Florida a few years ago, we needed a dryer. We didn’t want to pay $400 or more for a new one, so we looked and shopped around for used. We saw an ad in the paper for an electric dryer for $25.00. We checked it out in the lady’s garage. It was dirty and the back cover had been removed. As I walked around it and made a few comments, she said, “I’ll give it to you for free if you can take it off my hands!” We took it home and spent $10-15 to get it looking and functioning fine. We used that dryer for several years!”
Total Savings: $385 less than a new dryer
