This spring and early summer, I gave away nearly 100 copies of the book Career Intensity. I was wondering what those of you who got one of those free copies thought of the book. Let me know -- I'd enjoy hearing your perspective on it.
For my thoughts on this book (and related topics), see:
And for my best career related posts, see Best of Free Money Finance: Career Posts.

I only read about half of the book.
I agreed with most of what was being said in what I read, but there just was not enough to suck me in and force me to read the rest of it. In order for me to finish a book these days, it needs to be either a quick read or have a great pull. Otherwise, it just falls behind when it comes to all of the competition that is vying for my time. Hopefully, at some point, I will be able to get back to it. I had planned to give it to one of my groomsmen at my wedding as it seemed relevant to where he was in life and I thought he'd enjoy reading it, but it slipped my mind until now.
I ripped right through the book on Index funds that you had sent me.
Thanks again for the opportunities to read the books, FMF.

I have picked up some tidbits here and there. Overall, I believe I am doing an ok job at managing my career but have seen there are a few more things I can do, particularly making sure that I am letting my manger know what I am doing, especially when a customer comes out ahead due to my efforts.
My biggest issue in reading the book is that I generally do not like books focused on "self" and felt this one fell in that category. As such I could only take so much of it at a time.

I got the book based on your recommendation. It was a very valuable read and I will have the chance to apply to my career.

I was just looking back over some old posts and saw this one. I don't think I saw it the first time. I'm just finishing grad school and held off reading the book until now. I'm slowly making my way through the book. It's definetely not a "page-turner" but there is a lot of practical advice spelled out in lots of different ways. Thanks again for the book giveaways!
