Five Things You Didn't Know about Me

Ok, I've finally been tagged. Here are five things you don't know about me (and probably don't care about either):

1. My 10-year-old son plays basketball better at his age than I did when I was 15. Of course, I play better now than I did then, too. ;-)

2. In high school I had the leading role in the school play in both my sophomore and senior years.

3. I worked in Washington, D.C. for the federal government one summer as an intern. I got to see President Reagan welcome a dignitary from China to the White House (from a far distance.)

4. I've traveled outside of the U.S. on six occasions -- once after grad school touring Europe, one trip to Aruba on vacation, three vacations in Russia (where we have friends), and a business trip to the U.K.

5. My favorite game is chess, but because I'm so impatient, I usually only play "blitz" -- where a whole game is done in 5-10 minutes.
