Not happy about your adding Google AdWords to your blog. It's visually distracting from your message and personally annoying. I know it's all for charity, but I think you're making a strategic mistake. Will have to decide whether this new visual clutter makes this otherwise marvelous blog a place I'd rather not visit going forward.

Les --

Thanks for your thoughts. As you've probably noticed, I play around with many things on the blog quite often (as any good blogger would.) I've been testing the ads you mention a few days and will do so for a few more to see what they do for the site. Then I'll make a decision on how to proceed.

Glad to see that you chose to remove it and the visual clutter it brought.

I'm not abandoning it totally, but here are my issues for now:

1. It wasn't producing much revenue.

2. It only came in one size (large) and I'd prefer a smaller ad at the end.

3. They were serving ads for payday loans and the like and I couldn't figure out how to block them (I know how to on regular adsense, but these ads came through Feedburner.)

I am expecting they'll ad new units and features in the future, and once they do, I'll probably try them again. I'm always looking to test new ideas.

Thanks again for your feedback.
