I believe almost anyone can achieve FIRE, but ideally you should be a high earner in a city with a low cost of living. That's actually why I live in my college town instead of my hometown--the costs of living are significantly lower. It's so, so much easier if you're able to sock away more money--but it's still possible to achieve FIRE with a smaller salary. You just have to work harder and get creative.
