Millions Impacted by Personal Data Loss

This from the July 4 issue of Business Week:

"Millions of American have had their privacy breached this year, through lost files or computer hackers.  Data lost include credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, addresses, and phone numbers."

Below this statement appears a chart that shows the impact of just four incidents of lost information (Mastercard, Citifinancial, DSW Shoes, and Bank of America) this year.  People affected: 46.5 million.
