I found an article today that gives lots of statistics about millionaires around the world. Some noteworthy points from it:
"While still home to some of the world’s most desperately poor, the boom in the Indian economy has also meant that the country has been steadily producing some of the world’s wealthiest people: 70,000 dollar millionaires to be exact."
"The ninth World Wealth Report (WWR) from Merrill Lynch and Cap Gemini, an annual global monitor of high net worth individuals, finds that China and India, with HNWI populations at 300,000 and 70,000, respectively, are by far Asia’s biggest success stories. While the US continues to drive a furious pace with 2.5 million HNWIs, if India’s size and fast-paced growth are any indication, it won’t be long before it starts counting its super-rich in the hundreds of thousands."
"Then there are the super-rich or ultra-HNWIs (net worth: in excess of $30 million), whose ranks swelled 8.9 per cent, compared to the 7.3 per cent growth in the number of their poorer cousins, the HNWIs (net worth: $1 million and more)."
"While this trend indicates that more people could afford the finest things the world has to offer, price inflation for top-of-the-line luxury goods and services rose at a faster pace than mass-produced consumer products. In other words, the cost of living for the ultra rich went up like never before."
"What this trend means is that to maintain their lifestyles and purchasing power, the world’s wealthiest must not only closely manage the people who manage their wealth, they must also contend with an inflation rate that is nearly four times higher than regular inflation."
Oh, to have those problems, huh?
I'm not surprised. It seems that the people who focus on making money will make the money.
The masses don't seem to want to focus for the required amount of time to make their millions.
In relative terms, 70,000 out of 1 billion population isn't a very high percentage. It still is a huge amount of millionaires.

Are you surprised that only the few in our society are very rich? To be rich, you must be willing to make sacrifices, work hard, be patient, and be possitive in your ability to make it at the end. Most of us remain poor today because we have come to agree that not everyone in life will be rich...
