“My cable company had a special free installation for “New Customers”. I had just recently moved and they said I was a “transfer service” and had to pay a $22 transfer fee. I asked why I a loyal customer for six years had to pay a transfer fee when someone else who was not a customer got service for free. She said I had a good point, talked to her supervisor and they waved the transfer fee. She asked if I was a lawyer and told me that I had good arguments. This same principle can be used wherever you do business regularly (such as your phone company, garbage service, or health club), and they give new customers a special offer. It works amazingly well.”
