Hurricane Katrina Blog Relief Weekend, FMF Matching Donations, Part 6

As promised, I'm announcing the amount raised for Hurricane Katrina Relief through Free Money Finance. Here's where we ended up:

Match Challenge Update (7:36 am): 37 total donations for $3,450 ($6,900 with my match).

Great job! You all were very generous and your messages were very kind as well. Thanks for being part of this effort.

But I want to do more. So here's my final appeal and announcement:

I'm moving my match up to $5,000. Here are the details:

1. You make a contribution to a charity that's helping with Hurricane Katrina relief.

2. Email me and tell me what you did (who you gave to and how much). No receipts are needed -- I'm trusting you.

3. I'll match it up to a total of $5,000 (we already have $3,450 contributed). In other words, you all contribute $5,000, and I'll put in $5,000 myself.

4. All of my matching dollars will go to Samaritan's Purse.

5. The offer is only good until noon on Friday, September 9 at noon eastern time (or until we reach the $5,000 limit). I'll announce the final number and make my match soon thereafter.

6. This really is the last offer. ;-)
