Money Saving Tip: Make Old Stuff Fun

Since we're stuck on money saving tips for kids this week, I thought I'd add another one:

Gather old sheets, towels and blankets and watch your kids transform them into a giant tent or fort. Give them old mattresses to jump and bounce on.

My daughter loves to make the piano bench and a couple of chairs into a "tent city." She could play for hours in there. Both our kids love to jump on the three old mattresses we have in the basement. My son uses them so he can get high enough to slam the basketball in our indoor hoop. :-)
