Looking for a way to make some extra money? Here's a suggestion: take some surveys. Not only will you get the chance to influence the way companies go about their business, but you can get paid for it as well!
An article by Frugal Underground gives all the details. The post even suggests which online survey companies are best as follows:
Keynote: My favorite company because their surveys are actually interesting and they pay well. Their surveys are actually evaluations where they give you a task on their client’s website and monitor you as you complete it. I’ve learned some stuff I didn’t know doing evaluations for them!
Esearch: Another company that pays well and regularly. Their surveys are more commonplace (what kind of movies you like seems to be a common type) but not bad.
NFO Interactive: You earn “Reward Points” for completing surveys, which can be cashed in after you’ve built up $10.
And the piece also includes a suitable warning about scam artists:
Please don’t believe anyone who tells you that you have to pay to join a survey company, or that you need to buy a book. Think about the logic here: the more potential respondents a survey company has, the more attractive they are to their potential customers, because they can provide the exact demographic the customer wants. Why would they limit their number of respondents by making them pay to join? Furthermore, the legitimate survey companies make their money by providing survey results for customers, not by charging panelists.
It's a great post on how to earn extra cash. And how could I not give something like that a star? :-)
