Here's a simple property tax tip from Money (subscription required) on how to best handle a property tax dispute:
When property tax statements are mailed out, they usually trigger a flurry of consumer calls. To make sure you get a human on the phone when filing your complaint, wait a week after receiving your statement to call.
I generally have to wait a week to do anything after I get my property tax bill. That's because I need that amount of time to cool down!!!
