Here's a money saving tip from the Consumer Credit Counseling Service on how to save when shopping for groceries:
Clip coupons and use them whenever possible. Buy a newspaper on Sundays. Savings add up, especially if you shop at double coupon stores.
We look at the Sunday paper as a money saving investment. It costs roughly $1 a week and we save anywhere from $3 to $10 a week on average on coupons, shopping ads for the best buys, etc. With this savings, we look at getting the paper itself as an extra, "free" bonus. ;-)

We did a coupon experiment last week. We bought the Sunday paper last week to see what coupons we could use. We do all of our grocery shopping at Wal-Mart so we usually buy Wal-Mart brand goods. After both my wife and I going through the paper, we didn't find any useful coupons.
