Four out of five workers say they'll get a tax refund this year and the IRS estimates the average refund will be $2,480. So odds are that most of you reading this have either received your tax refund or will be receiving one. As such, there's no better time to share this article from Money Central that offers seven smart ways to spend your tax refund. Their suggestions (hyperlinked to some of my posts where I've already written on these topics):
1. Blow (some of) it.
5. Contribute to a college fund.
7. Attend a conference.
I agree with these except that I'd add "give" to the list.
Also notice that this is a good list on what to do with a raise, bonus, or monetary gift as well -- any time you get "extra" money.
