In February I posted a money saving tip that said you should watch your medical bills as many of them contain errors (over-pricing errors most likely). So when I ran into the following stat in Money Magazine's April issue (page 46), I just had to share it with you.
Check this out:
85% of hospital bills contain errors according to AMBR, a medical-bill auditor.
Yikes! 85%????!!! So there is a much, much, much better chance that your hospital bill WILL contain an error than the chance that it won't. Now all of these are not over-charging errors, but I bet a good number are. Therefore, let me say again: Check your medical bills for errors. With this new data, it seems like this is one tip that's almost guaranteed to save you money.
