Welcome to this week's edition of the Carnival of Debt Reduction.
I'm sticking with my usual method of hosting a carnival -- listing a summary of each piece with the author's reason for submitting the post to the carnival (for those that submitted one) and/or a bit of the post itself as a summary -- so you readers know what to expect before you get to the post.
With that said, here we go:
- Losing debt like losing weight? - Reducing your debt and reducing your weight have a lot of similarities.
- Very unhappy with Bank of America/MBNA - Good service is hard to come by. Especially when you are trying to do five figure 0% balance transfers!
- Guilty as Charged: Fifteen Free Coffees - A confession of how I am not living up to my debt reduction plan.
- Cutting expenses - Sooner or later, everybody in debt realizes they need to cut back on expenses to find money to pay down the debt. Here's a list of six ideas.
- Maxed Out - Debt Collector & Debt Buyer - Two video clips from the movie "Maxed Out" about the credit card industry and how they try to keep people in debt.
- Consolidate your loans using Unsecured Debt Consolidation loans and Reverse Mortgage - My personal views about Unsecured Debt Consolidaiton loasn and reverse mortgage in debt consolidation.
- Eight Ideas to Make a Few Extra Bucks - A great way to help reduce your debt faster is to find extra income. Here are some ideas for making a few extra bucks. Remember - every little bit counts and an extra $20/week equals an extra $1040 a year!
- Checking Out The Money Making Sites - You know that I am always checking out the money making sites to give you a review. My sole purpose in researching these work from home opportunities is to make money to pay off the debt.
- Debt-Proof Living - I really liked how Mary Hunt, author of a book by the same title, defined “debt-proof living”.
- They Fall For It So Easily - People fall for credit card offers too easily, sometimes without comparing credit conditions, reading the fine print, or even thinking about it. Avoid falling into such trap.
