Your career is your most valuable financial asset. By getting a college degree and managing your career to its full potential you can earn millions of dollars in extra income throughout your lifetime. One key to doing this is to get regular job promotions throughout your career.

This is a pretty good list. For me, there are two main ways to get a promotion: 1) deliver results and 2) have a great attitude. Employees who do these two things consistently will move up -- and move up quickly.

However, this piece is right in saying that often delivering great results and having a good attitude aren't enough. That's where the list of 10 comes in. They make a good employee great and a great employee excellent. They're the icing on the cake -- the difference between a good career and an unbelievable one. As such, they're worth the effort because even a slight difference in your career advancement throughout the years can mean millions of dollars to you.
