Recently I was contacted by the marketing person representing The Real Estate Coach and asked if I wanted to review the book. Not one to turn down a freebie, I said I'd be glad to.
Book Summary
The Real Estate Coach is just what you'd expect -- but a little different. The part you'd expect is that it contains ideas on how to invest in real estate. The part that's a bit different is that it's told as a story of two people investing in real estate (and what they do) with several tips set off in boxes throughout.
My Thoughts and Rating
This book had two strikes against it from the start. First, I have about zero interest in reading any more books about real estate investing. It's not that I'm not interested in the topic -- I actually find it quite interesting -- but I've already read several books on the subject and there's really not much new to say. Besides, I don't have the time it takes to invest in (and manage) real estate, so I don't directly (I am part of a real estate LLC, but our managing partner handles all the details, I'm just a minor investor.) The second strike is the format -- that it's told as the story of "Brian" and "Sarah" who are helped by a "Real Estate Coach." Yuck! Please spare me the third-grade bedtime story and just give me the facts.
That said, the information in the book is decent. It contains all the do's and do not's you'd expect in a real estate investing book. And the tips are set apart from the story, so if you want to just get the facts, all you need to do is leaf through the book and read the tips. It will take you maybe an hour.
But it's not enough for me. I can't recommend the book as a purchase for anyone. If you think you may want a copy anyway, check it out at the library first (then buy it if you really like it). Otherwise, just move on. There's bound to be a better book that's worth your reading time.

The change was minor in that the players were allowed to ask for a time out to spend time with their coaches between sets. It was significant because the opportunity to speak with their coaches helped several players turn their games around.so, it is adviced to take Real Estate Coaching which includes a newsletter chock full of money-making tips and pre-done tools, guaranteed to add tens of thousands of dollars to your real estate business
