This information, especially how to start cutting your own hair if you are nervous about it, is great. I gotta just get my courage up to try. The prices for haircuts drive me crazy!

I wish I could cut my own hair-- I've tried! And it would save me about $800 a year! Maybe I should get a Flowbee.

I've been to a barber once in my life - when I was 2. After that, my dad - similarly frugal - said, "Heck; I can do this, and if I mess up early on, who cares?" It's not like a 2-year-old cares much about their 'do. ;-)

After decades of free cuts from dear-old-dad, I wasn't about to start going to a barber - Heck; I was almost scared of it; I wouldn't know what to do! ;-) Luckily, in college, I started shaving my head (not with a razor; just clippers), and have been doing so since I was out of the house. I'm 27, and still have only been to the barber once in my life. ;-)

I had very long hair n i wanted to ged rid of it.But my mum did not allow me but she cuts her hair.So one day i fought with my mum i just took a scisscors n sniff...snifff...sniff about 30 times.Imagine how long my hair would have been.My dad said I look pretty with that hairstyle. But now i cut i my own hair myself or sometimes my mum helps me.So i give u a suggestion just cut ur hair at home yourself. You will save a lot of money

i cut my own hair now not to save money (though that's a positive), but because i'm scared of catching Hep C at the salon - it's so annoying when they don't accept the combs u bring and when they just lie and say they sterilise their equipment - when u see them pull out the same comb/brush they just used on the other person. so i got my own set of professional sissors and i think i look pretty good. it's easy when you have long, layered hair. :)
