Here's a great suggestion from a Free Money Finance reader. It was left in response to my post titled Simple and Easy Money Saving Tip: Buy Coupons for Pennies on the Dollar where it was suggested you could save lots of money by buying coupons on eBay. The reader took it one step farther -- and turned it into a money making idea. His comment:
That is a great idea! Further, if you often find yourself with great coupons for products that you wouldn't use, you could collect them and sell them on eBay.
Good idea. I'm sure there's someone out there who's doing this and making a decent amount of extra income at it. If you have access to good value coupons on a regular basis and have the time and ability to do this, you might want to consider it as a side business. It could turn out to be a good amount of extra income in your pocket each month.
Just as a side note, I don't think you can sell the "coupons" on e-bay, but you can sell "the value of your time for collecting the coupons".
I think there was some legal trouble with this issue a while back, but I can't seem to find the source.
I hope this helps.

I actually sell coupons online via eBay. Yes there were some issues about selling coupons, so people were saying you were paying for their time to clip and collect the coupons. eBay doesn't even let you state that anymore either per their coupon policy. I have not had any issues as of yet regarding the selling of coupons. If I ever do have an issue, I will just claim to be selling an envelope and the coupon inside is a free gift. Whatever the terminology has to be, I will work around it. Just to give an example, I sold 3 coupons the other day. 1)$30, 2)$41 and 3)$50. I will not give away what kind of coupons I was selling but I can collect this almost every day if I wanted to as long as the supply was there. You start to depend on the coupons and if you don't receive them, you could start to panic. It's all about stocking up and having them creating a steady stream of income.
