Save Money on Entertainment

Here are a few tips that Smart Money listed as part of their piece on how to save $100 a month. Today, we'll talk about their list of saving on entertainment bills. Their suggestions:

• In the summer the country's top orchestras take to the great outdoors and play free concerts for the masses.

• Stay in for movie night. Rent your flick and watch it at home.

• Search out online [restaurant] discounts at web sites such as DinnerBroker.com or Restaurant.com.

I think they're running out of steam on their money saving ideas. ;-)

Entertainment is one category of spending that you can really save a ton on -- if you can just be satisfied with the "simpler" things in life. It's also a category that you can eliminate completely for a period of time if you get into a tough financial situation.
