Have you thought of submitting this series to Consumerist? They always run stories about this kind of thing.

Good idea! Thanks!

It's been five and a half months... update? How does the story end!!!

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?? I almost was considering purchasing an elliptical from sears...but not anymore...BUT WHAT'S GOING ON NOW??

I attempted to purchase a very nice industrial grade table saw from Sears back in Nov. 2006. I paid for it on credit on a 6 mos. delayed interest. It was guaranteed to be delivered just before christmas, yahoo. Well, they neglected to state which year that would be. We called as to its delivery date and time. These times came and went, of course, no table saw. I went to store managers, store head manager, numerous phone numbers of "pass the buck" supposed managers in control, still no table saw. This went on for 5 months. I had a list of phone numbers and confermation numbers that looked like santa's list. I was told by one clerk that I talked to in the store that I would have better luck ordering this "on-line". Not any better, I was actually told by one manager that I should just chalk it all up to "human error". Oh my god, what a dweeb. Well, I finally did get a delivery of a table saw, I was so excited I started to assemble it rite then and now. The first piece just wouldnt go in correctly, wouldnt you know it, the arm that raises and loweres the blade (which is very heavy duty) was snapped in half. I gave-up on Sears at this point, I think they have been K-mart'ized. Too much frustrating to bother with these people. I have better things to do with my life. by by Sears and K-mart.
