Here's a money saving tip that's so simple and effective that I can't believe I'd never heard/thought of it before. It was left as a comment to my post titled Best Financial Tips from Free Money Finance Readers. The idea:
Another great tip that I recently discovered is to buy coupons off of eBay. I just got 10 $5 coupons for a premium brand of dog food--$50 worth for $2.38.
$50 for $2.38? Wow! That's a pretty big savings! (a 95% discount to be exact) Imagine the impact this could have if you could use this technique on 10-20% of your food/non-food grocery items -- it would be a big, big savings through the years.
Never heard of coupons being sold on eBay. I've never really used coupons but I think I might have to start if I can save extra money.

That is a great idea! Further, if you often find yourself with great coupons for products that you wouldn't use, you could collect them and sell them on eBay.
