Remember talking about the best job in the world, then discussing unconventional methods for getting a job? Well here's a story that combines both of these past posts:
A 25-year-old man reportedly looking for a job in Australia jumped off the South Causeway Bridge on Tuesday, earning him a notice to appear, according to a police report released Wednesday.
Christopher Warren Grima, of the 400 block of South Indian River Drive, wanted to videotape his plunge to catch the attention of the recruiters, though ended up catching the attention of the authorities.
Grima was applying for a six-month job paying $105,000 on Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef, according to police spokeswoman Audria Moore and news reports.
“He wanted to make his application shocking so that whoever was reviewing the applications would take a serious look at his,” Moore said.
I guess at some point I should stop being surprised at the crazy things people do, huh?
I guess intelligence isn't a competency for the job...
