Just a few days after I talked about taking advantage of extraordinary opportunities to increase your income dramatically, I see two more examples of this principle at work again. Here are the details on them:
-
Susan Boyle is all the rage after her stunning performance on "Britain’s Got Talent". She took advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing on national TV and it seems like it will pay off for her quite handsomely. The Fox News piece reports: "Boyle is now considered a favorite to win the competition whose prize includes the equivalent of about $147,000 and a chance to sing for the Queen. Cowell is also reportedly organizing a record deal for her, the Times reported." Not bad, huh?

I think we all know that Captain Richard Phillips is going to be cashing in on his act of heroism at some point. Whether it's an increase in pay, a bonus, a better job, a different (higher paying) job, TV/book deals, etc., he's going to be doing very well financially in the future. Hopefully none of us ever have to put our lives at risk to make a big jump in pay, and obviously he didn't do what he did with that purpose in mind, but he was presented with a very unusual situation, acted in a manner that was extraordinary, and soon he'll be reaping the financial rewards (much like, I suspect, the recent airline pilot that landed the plane on the river in NY.)
I'll be on the lookout for more of these examples over the next two months, but these seemed to stick out this morning and I wanted to share them with you.
Beatles,Sachin Tendulkar,The boy from Slumdog Millionaire(in the movie) and whole lot of others over years have demonstrated that using ones human capital is surest way of getting rich.. Susan Boyle has once gaian reiterated that.. I wish her all the best..Great post .
