For those of you new to Free Money Finance, I post on The Bible and Money every Sunday. Here's why.
I write about the Bible and Money on Sundays, but there are tons of blogs that cover the two every single day. Today I thought it would be fun to highlight a few of them. Here they are -- along with some descriptive information from their site/about page:
-
Bible Money Matters -- The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7. We don’t ever want to be servant to the lender again. We are now working our way towards building a nice nest egg for our future, and hope you’ll join us on that journey. Bible Money Matters was launched around the 1st of February 2008 as a place for me to put down my thoughts on matters of my Christian faith and how it affects my finances. Many people believe that faith and finances should be wholly separate, but I believe they are inextricably bound. The bible has over 2300 verses on money, and it is clear to me that our money needs to be informed by our faith.
-
ChristianPF -- The mission is to make, save, grow, and give money – not necessarily in that order. This is my personal mission and the mission for ChristianPF.com as well. To put it simply, I don’t think that God put us on this earth to amass wheelbarrows full of cash to bathe ourselves in. I believe there is a much better and higher purpose for our money: to build God’s Kingdom and help others. Bottom line, I want to be the best steward of what I have been given, and I want you to be too! With God’s help we can master our finances and become the good stewards that we are called to be. Let’s do it together so we can hear the Master say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
-
Gather Little by Little -- Gather Little by Little is a personal finance blog with a Christian perspective. It’s about growing wealth in accordance with Proverbs 13:11 – Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow. Most people believe that becoming wealthy happens overnight. These same people believe that if you can’t gain wealth quickly, they’ll never be rich. The Bible tells us that this is far from the truth. Here we’ll focus on topics related to growing wealth using common sense biblical practices and by gathering money, little by little.
-
Managing Money God's Way -- Using Biblical principles as a road map, our desire is to help you become a better steward of the resources that God has entrusted to you. As believers we often try to manage God’s resources from a non-Biblical world view, and then we wonder why we aren’t being blessed. We believe that with the proper knowledge, encouragement and desire, anyone can experience true financial freedom.
-
Money Help for Christians -- Here’s a quick introduction to what to expect from this blog: 1. Financial teachings from a Biblical perspective; 2. Daily posts on topics that impact all aspects of personal finances. This includes practical tips for saving, earning, giving, and managing your money; 3. A behind the scenes look at our finances. We’ll analyze the motivations, impulses, and the spiritual implications of our financial decisions.
-
Provident Planning -- Provident Planning is dedicated to exploring God’s Provident Plan for the personal finances of Christians. What is God’s Provident Plan? It’s God’s clear Biblical message that through contentment in Christ, hard work, and good stewardship Christians can prosper so we can give generously in the name of Christ. By following the Provident Plan, Christians can glorify God through their finances.
So for those of you wanting a bigger dose of money thoughts from a Christian perspective, check out these blogs. And be sure to come back and let me know what you think of them.
And...I've probably skipped over several Christian money blogs by only listing a few. It wasn't my intention to exclude anyone, I simply wanted to highlight a few. If you have a blog that focuses on money from a biblical standpoint, post your URL in the comments below so readers can visit your site too.
FMF,

I can't even begin to imagine where our family would be if we kept faith and finances separate. As a SAHM/blogging frugal mom of five, the Lord has continually amazed us through our "God Watch" time. We're beginning month nine of unemployment for my hubby (we chose not to relocate when the company was bought out) and we're embracing all that HE is revealing through this time. Stretching - yes, challenging - yes, humbling - yes, but absolutely life changing. We are still on track financially for another three months, since we have lived below our means for years and were preparing for this day with "beans and rice" even before the company was shut down.
Without biblical principles in place, I can't even begin to imagine where we would be at the end of one year of unemployment. With them in place....where will we be? Still debt free, but creatively trying to gain resources. :)
Even though most of the blogs above are new to me, I can see from their descriptions that they are giving guidance for these ever increasing difficult financial days.
