It's expensive, but I have family histories of long life, dementia, heart disease and stroke. All bad. I don't want to be a burden on my kids and I can't guarantee I'll be remarried. It is...<p>My mother in law is disabled, and we are watching her assets erode away at a record pace. It is so hard to know what to do. She was struck with a brain tumor at the age of 57, which is way before a lot of people consider long term health care. It has definitely made my husband and I think about what to do in our elder years. </p>
