Verses on the Poor

For those of you new to Free Money Finance, I post on The Bible and Money every Sunday. Here's why.

For the rest of the year I'm going to be highlighting verses relating to the poor on Sundays as a reminder of why I'm doing my $25k Red Kettle Challenge. Here are two for today:

Proverbs 22:9 (NIV): The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.

Proverbs 21:13 (NIV): Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.
